Where Faith and Serious Inquiry Meet
Many believers have been told—directly or indirectly—that asking difficult questions demonstrates weak faith. Faith & Reason takes the opposite view. A sincere question may be an invitation to search more deeply. A challenging historical claim may become an opportunity to examine evidence more carefully. A theological disagreement may lead us back to scripture with greater humility, patience, and spiritual maturity.
This ministry does not exist to manufacture easy answers or dismiss honest concerns. It exists to bring scripture, history, reason, revelation, and discipleship into one thoughtful conversation. Here, faith is not treated as intellectual blindness. Reason is not treated as spiritual rebellion. Both are brought into submission to Jesus Christ.

This ministry is unapologetically rooted in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. At the same time, it welcomes serious engagement with biblical scholarship, early Christianity, philosophy, history, recovery principles, and the broader Christian theological tradition. Truth does not need to fear investigation. Faith does not need to fear reason. And discipleship should never be reduced to winning an argument.

Latter-day Saint Apologetics
Apologetics is more than reacting to criticism. I am Timothy R. Berman—author, digital content creator, teacher, recovery advocate, and Latter-day Saint apologist. My work has been shaped by years of ministry leadership, addiction counseling, recovery service, scripture study, writing, teaching, and personal experience with adversity and spiritual reconstruction.
I sometimes describe myself as the Latter-day Saint Cowboy Apologist. The name reflects a straightforward approach to faith: examine the evidence, speak honestly, stand firmly, treat people fairly, and remain accountable to Jesus Christ. My background in recovery has taught me that intellectual knowledge alone does not transform a life; truth must confront pride, fear, resentment, shame, co-dependency, addiction, and self-deception. My work in apologetics has taught me that sincerity alone does not make an argument sound; claims must be examined, sources verified, and context understood.
